Lantern Festival & Birthday Tiramisu

Today, I went to the Botanical Garden of Montreal with Monica-chan and Nana-chan. There was a Lantern Festival called The Magic of Lanterns. I've had a busy week with exams and papers and so it was really nice to get together with some friends and relax. We met at McGill's main gate as usual, and went to a Japanese restaurant (Sakura). I used to go to that restaurant pretty often for my usual Katsu-don (fried pork on rice), but they recently changed the location to renovate it, making the restaurant look much fancier (the price went up a little bit too...).

Here's a pic of Monica and I at Sakura:

After dinner (I had Katsu-don... again!), we went to the Botanical Garden by metro and there was a ridiculous line-up......... We arrived around 7:30 PM and we got our tickets around 8:30 PM..... And the Garden closes between 9 and 9:30! I guess they kept it open a long time after the usual time, since there were a looooooot of people after us in the line. I hope they didn't line up just to be told it was closed, eh. Or else... poor them!

Here are some pics I took at the Lantern Festival (which is held in the Chinese Garden part of the Botanical Garden):

After the Lantern Festival, we went to St-Denis st., to get cake at the same place Nana-chan and I went to last week, La Brioche Lyonnaise. Nana-chan and I planned to celebrate Monica's birthday (which was last week) so I asked the waitress to add a candle to Monica's tiramisu so that we may celebrate her birthday. Happy Birthday Monica!!! :D

Here is a pic of Nana-chan and Monica-chan at La Brioche Lyonnaise.
