Dinner at Aki's place and Potluck laaa

She couldn't make it to my potluck but she felt bad about it... so she promised me... KATSU-DON! (Pork cutlets on rice) God knows it's the best when it's homecooked...Her boyfriend was there, as well as his new roommate, a very nice German girl named Kerstin. Aki also invited her friend Joy to join us and help us cook. They made not only Katsudon, but also Nikujaga (Japanese beef and potato stew, kinda), Miso soup and Tempura (fried battered vegetables, shrimps or anything u want). It was delicious... We talked a bit, laughed a lot and ate at the Spanish time (around 10 P.M)...
Here are some more pics:

As for the potluck it was a frank success! So many people came, we almost did trash Kiki's house. I think people enjoyed it in general... or at least, enjoyed the food!

Audrey and Kiki in Montreal LAAA

Well the first semester was empty in terms of potluck because my favorite First K, Kiki, was gone. She wasn't the only one gone, about half the people we knew went back to their faraway countries.... Audrey is one of them, she was in Hong Kong! But since her boyfriend Danny is still here in Montreal, she decided to pay us all a visit and organize a Girl's Night at Michelle's place. Kiki, being back as well, came to the party and so did Heather, Audrey, Michelle, Lynn, Kiki, Katharine, Moonjin and Andrea. They prepared fruits and chocolate fondue and I attempted to make crêpes with very lousy equipment (I had no measuring cup..........) Anyways, we did, we had crêpes, had crazy girl talks and took funny pictures, which you can see at the bottom of this entry. It was fun and I hope we get to see Audrey back in Montreal again soon!!! :)
Audrey took those pics. Do u like them?

Miyuki

Since last year, I have been doing a language exchange with several people. Miyuki was one of them. She was introduced to me by Jiwoo oppa, my language exchange in Korean in a very random manner at the bar Tokebi, where she was working. Miyuki was teaching me Japanese and I was teaching her English... Eventually, it turned out that we became friends and when our schedules didn't allow us to do a language exchange anymore, we decided to just meet and go out for lunch or breakfast together... Then, Miyuki-chan had to go back to Japan since she already has a job there... Since she has a boyfriend here though, Alex, she came back to Canada during the holiday! :D We went for breakfast and we had a party together at her boyfriend's place. It was a fun party, though unusual lol We watched doraemon! It was my first time!
Here are some pics:

At the party: there was... Yu-san, Yuki-chan, Miyuki, Alex Z., Andrea, Noriko san and her boyfriend. (I can't remember his name.. sorry!)

Crêpes at my place!

My first few classes were rather interesting... even though I arrived late at the first one, because I made a mistake reading the starting time. I thought it started at 1:35, but actually it started at 1:05! T.T At least, the teacher is nice, so he didn't seem to be angry.Anyways. Let's not tell my parents about that, they'll never let me survive this year after all the strange things I've done. (Like, sitting in the wrong exam room..........)

So let's start this year from the beginning. After a week at my parents' chalet with Nana-chan, I went back to Montreal on the 2nd, had a date with my boyfriend on the same day, started school on the 3rd and decided to organize a New Year's Dinner at my place that night. I decided to make the simplest and one of the most delicious things in the world: crêpes (thanks to my mom's wonderful recipe)! Fiona, Moonjin, Heeja, Charles and Aki came over and we cooked, ate and drank together. I bought a bottle of St-Véran, one of my favorite wines that I wanted to share with them in this special occasion. Aki and Fiona brought also a red bottle of wine and a mountain of fruits to eat with the Crêpes. Heeja brought a huge piece of Salmon that her parents had given her. She also brought bagels and cream cheese. As for Charles, he brought ingredients to make chocolate Amaretto balls. It was my first time to make crêpes since I moved in Montreal and so I was slightly worried about doing it right and making everyone enjoy their evening, but I think it turned out pretty well, despite the time it took me. I underestimated the time it would take to cook a whole bunch of crêpes so we started eating around 9! At least, they were good, and now I can live up to my French reputation! Even Moonjin approved of my crêpes, and that means a lot! lol After dinner, I had a long talk with Aki-nee chan, who had a little too much to drink and was behaving in a very happy manner... lol. She left a bit earlier with Charles and Moonjin because of the metro, but Heather and Fiona stayed over for a couple more hours of tea-drinking, Jay Chow singing and crazy Cantonese Speaking. We were planning to watch a movie but in the end, we talked until 4:30 A.M and thus couldn't do so. Maybe next time! ^^; Unfortunately, I hadn't recharged my camera's batteries, so I couldn't take really nice pictures... but I took some with my cellphone. The first pic is me, wearing a Santa Claus hat and the second one is my dear guests enjoying a crazy night of food, drinks and laughs. This is going to be a good year, I can feel it.

Here are some pics that Nana and I took at the Valinouet. (The mountain and ski resort where my parents' Chalet is located.) Enjoy!
