How do you describe the last few days I spent in Japan? Amazing. I take the good and the bad stuff and I still get the word "amazing". Well first off, Technology here, just like in Korea, is simply wonderful. I can't believe Canada is still that retarded in terms of phone technology and metro system. Seriously, we need to send spies or students or something. Let them teach us what real life should be like technologically-wise!!! lol Well the metro system, I gotta say, is VERY complicated in Japan, but still so well organized. During the 4 days when I was in Tokyo, it was mostly tiring and confusing to use it but if I stayed a little longer, I could probably get used to it a bit better and enjoy it. (Maybe... lol)

So what did I do in Tokyo? I met friends whom I really wanted to meet after such a long separation (and sometimes after a short separation too... lol). I kinda went around Akihabara, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Shinagawa, Ueno and Asakusa. Saw a lot of modern things (like the Tokyo Tower) and not so modern ones (such as the Asakusa shrine). I tried many types of foods which I was looking forward to trying (like unagi-don, real Japanese ramen, Izakaya food, etc.). I saw a fireworks under the rain (lol) with Monica. Raindrops falling on my heaaad (8)

Right now, after a series of train misadventures, I am in Maizuru, close to the Eastern Sea (Sea of Japan, for the ones who are not patriotically Korean), where one of my dad's friends works as a priest. He took me around to see churches and to see the famous site of Hashidate, a natural peninsula which is considered one of the top three sites of scenic beauty in Japan. I was supposed to arrive yesterday night but since I took the wrong train in Tokyo (same destination, but slower than the one I was supposed to take), I missed my transfer to Maizuru and had to spend the night in Kyoto. (Thank God, Junko accepted to take care of me for the night and she took me to the train station in the morning. Arigatouuu!!!)

More to come once I'm back from Yamaguchi and Hiroshima.
